There, After (1/3) Video Triptych (part 1/3) 2011
by Sophie Clements Explosive technician Aoife van Linden Tol There, After began as a series of concentrated discussions and research sessions between Sophie Clements and particle physicist Elisabetta Pallante and organic chemist Ryan Cheichi. The starting point for this work was ‘ Lines of Belonging’. What is it that keeps us, and our physical world together? How do we understand these connections, scientifically, personally? Aoife designed and created the explosions. Link to Sophie Clements website |

INVESTIGATION1
by Sasha Mikloweit Explosion by Aoife van Linden Tol Sasha designed a series of experiments investigating the concept that, the enforcement procedures of non-threatening objects in itself justifies the need for terrorist defense. Using placements of abandoned luggage, in various locations, he contrasts the context of art as one which has the potential to negate the label of 'terror', using definitions, placement, and presentation, such as placing the object on a plinth. Aoife created a controlled detonation to explode the object, thus it meet the same fate as the lost suitcases and briefcases in airports worldwide.
